Baulkham Hills Physiotherapy Centre has been in the Hills district for 40 years. Over that time we continue to provide quality health care in the area of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology to the Public. 

This encompasses a holistic approach in order to address the prevention, management, education and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal problems for all.

Jacob (Japie) Kruger

Owner & Senior Physiotherapist

Jacob Kruger is a passionate sport physiotherapist who relocated to Sydney, Australia with his family in 2019 from South Africa. He has had the privilege to work with a number of high-profile athletes at state, national, and international levels across various sporting disciplines.

Jacob was the head physio for multiple state, national and international teams, and the proprietor of several physiotherapy clinics. His services included managing medical teams of prominent institutions like the North West University (NWU) Sports. He has extensive experience leading medical teams for rugby, netball, cricket and hockey clubs. In addition, he managed the largest Sport and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinic in the state, working in collaboration with four orthopedic surgeons, several Sport General Practitioners, dietitians, exercise physiologists, sport scientists, podiatrists, and radiologists.

He also represented at a state level for rugby, athletics, biathlon (running and swimming), and represented South Africa at the 70.3 Ironman World Triathlon Championship. His diverse experience and passion position him uniquely in the field of sport physiotherapy.

Riva Shirol

Physiotherapist

Riva pursed her education at the University of Sydney where she successfully completed her Masters in Physiotherapy. During her time at university, Riva had the opportunity to gain practical experience in diverse healthcare settings, including private physiotherapy practices, sports physiotherapy clinics, and various departments within rural and metropolitan hospitals.Riva’s passion lies in treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions. She understands the unique challenges that come with various conditions and is dedicated to working closely with her patients to develop tailored rehabilitation and exercise programs that suit their specific needs.Riva has a appreciation for movement and dance. With over 15 years of personal practice, she understands firsthand the importance of movement for individuals and how it can positively impact their well-being. In addition to her clinical skills, Riva is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, and Kanada. Enabling her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel understood and supported. 

Tina Scharnik

Practice Manager

Tina is our dedicated and friendly receptionist. With her warm and welcoming demeanor, Tina is here to ensure your experience with us is seamless and enjoyable from the moment you walk through our doors. She is highly knowledgeable about our services and scheduling, and will be more than happy to assist you with any inquiries or appointment bookings.
